The Community Foundation supports Youth Development & Education by facilitating annual grants to effective youth-centered local nonprofits and by developing advanced leadership skills for local teens serving on our Junior Board.

This board is comprised of local 16-18 year-olds dedicated to serving their diverse communities with hands-on, front-facing service events and programs throughout the year. Junior Board member candidates are recommended by local schools and organizations, and complete a detailed application and interview process for this accelerated leadership opportunity. Junior Board members are approved by a vote from the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors and serve for one year. Junior Board positions are renewable. The Junior Board is directly supervised by our Community Service Chair.

Community Built Community for New Community Center Playground

Among those involved were three Junior Board members. If your teen in interested in serving on the Community Foundation’s Junior Board, please click the link above for the Junior Board application.
